Alot of people ask what is a Turntablist? How are they different from Dj's? I've gotten asked this hundreds of times over the years so I thought I would save everyone some time and clarify. Oftentimes, people relate turntablists to djs and put them in the same category as Djs. In all honesty, this is a fair assumption, but the truth is that these two disciplines are completely different from each other are completely separate art forms. In the simplest terms, a DJ play records, a Turntablist manipulates records to make music.
